Li Cari Fashion Show

Last night I attended the Grande Finale Show for LA Fashion Week, thanks to WCM. Jazmin Whitley, designer of the Li Cari Fashion House, debuted her spring/summer 09 collection, Nautical Meets Neon.



Jazmin has been featured in everything from LA Direct Magazine and 944 Magazine to US Weekly Magazine and Wired Magazine. At just 19 years old last year, Jazmin was the youngest designer to ever show in NY fashion week. All summer long this year, she has had MTV cameras following her around for the show, “Catwalk.” The MTV cameras were with her last night as well.

When I arrived, Jazmin's staff was busy at work getting ready for the show that would happen in only a matter of time. Jazmin, curlers in hair, was directing a few staff members and soon after the final dress rehearsal for the models. The DJ had the music blasting and off to the side, there was a Guitar Hero area. Time passed and the red carpet began. Guests mingled and soon the fashion show began. All of the pieces were beautiful and unique and most of it seemed very 60s inspired, which I love! I really believe that she is the next big thing in fashion, the next household name, so I am very lucky to have been able to attend one of her fashion shows.
