Melody Simpson was born and raised in New Jersey, has lived in Los Angeles, CA, and currently lives back on the East Coast. Melody is an experienced poet, critical writer, essay writer, creative writer, blogger, editor, and interviewer. Hollywood The Write Way started in February 2008 originally on Blogspot as http://www.melodysimpson.blogspot.com by writer/editor of the website, Melody Simpson. The site’s purpose is to publish entertainment reviews and exclusive interviews with musicians, actors, writers, comedians, and others in the entertainment business, as well as cover various events in Hollywood and NYC. Occasionally entertainment news will be posted. Photos from various print and non-print sources are also posted. The site also follows the writing career of Melody Simpson with updates as much as possible.

Where did the name Hollywood The Write Way come from?

1) When society thinks of Hollywood, actors and actresses come to mind. In reality, everyone is star, but those in the entertainment business - the musicians, bands, writers, and comedians deserve the same amount of “Hollywood” recognition as actors and actresses. This website is here to help give that recognition.

2) With that said…society tends to forget about the human being behind the celebrity, so this website strives to interview people who are not only respected as entertainers but as people too. Those interviewed have up to this point, held high respect for themselves, others, and have not had any major negative situations broadcasted in entertainment news.

3) When interviews are taking place, the aim is to ask questions that are not particularly asked to avoid reading the same questions and answers we’ve all read before.

Hence the name, Hollywood The Write Way!
