The writing was incredible. Adam Glass and David Hollander wrote this episode. In this episode, William's dad, Ben (Raymond J. Barry) has William help his best friend who is an alcoholic. It becomes a bit of a domino effect since William's plans for relaxing down time with his father come crashing down when Ben's best friend introduces William to another alcoholic. He is so far gone that he abuses his own son. Michael Beach did a fantastic job playing an abusive alcoholic...his portrayal was very disturbing. Guest star, Tyler James Williams plays the son and his performance was incredible as well. Personally, these two cases in one episode was a lot to handle. There are so many strong emotions...at moments I felt uncomfortable, as I believe those in similar real life situations must feel when they are trying to help their loved ones recover. This is definitely a powerful episode and could possibly be setting the tone for the rest of the season. If you thought Season 1 was good, you haven't seen anything yet.
