DVD Review: Leverage The 2nd Season

Just in time for the premiere of the third season this June, Leverage has released the complete second season on DVD. I was taken on quite a ride getting into this show last year as I caught up on Season 1 and watched all of Season 2, so I was quite excited to re-watch Season 2 on DVD, especially with commentary for every episode and many more special features. Leverage The 2nd Season has to be the greatest DVD so far this year, so you should definitely run out to get your copy today.

Leverage Season 2 is actually my favorite of the 2 seasons, so I was thrilled to be able to snag this on DVD. There is so much action and comedy, there is so much to expect and still so much more that is unexpected...there's the addition to the gang and temporary leave of absence for one in the gang. With the new dynamic amongst the team, there was room for plenty more twists and turns and character development. The stakes are much higher this season and every moment is worth the anticipation and will definitely keep you engaged. Best of all, there's an episode dedicated to creating a musical. Yes, I had to put that out there as I am a huge lover of musicals! Really, if you haven't seen this show than you are truly missing out on one of the most entertaining series on television today. So catch up before new episodes begin later this month. Get Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD now!

Commentaries - There is commentary for every episode of the season which makes this DVD quite a gem! All of the commentaries are conducted by the writers and executive producers, many times the directors of the episodes. If you usually enjoy watching commentary with the cast, don't fret because the crew is just as entertaining. There is a great balance, a perfect balance really of entertaining tidbits as well as techincal information about filming. What I found to be incredibly heartwarming was the love this crew has for Portland and the local actors of Portland. Another running conversation was hiding Gina Bellman's pregnancy throughout the season. I found this quite comical since I started watching Leverage late in the game and did not keep up with the actors at first, so I was highly confused and upset that Gina was rarely in Season 2. Now I know why. Some other fun topics that are discussed include filming when time is running out, research conducted, stunts, and setting up Jeri Ryan's character. I watched the commentary for every episode, did not skip or fast forward anything and found that I can easily watch these commentaries again. I usually do not watch commentaries more than once, so that is saying something. This is definitely one of my favorite DVDs to be released this year because of the commentary on every episode alone. This is commentary done right. This is special features done right!

The Creators of Leverage Q & A (18:55) - This q & a was conducted by executive Producer, Dean Devlin and co-creators/executive producers, Chris Downey and John Rogers and was held at a special Los Angeles screening of the Season 2 premiere on July 13, 2009. There are 14 topics shared on this feature that were discussed including the origin of Leverage, Casting Timothy Hunton, casting Parker and Beth’s audition, shooting and casting in Portland, Twittering, and more. I found the discussion on directing, keeping things fresh, and “The Top Hat Job” to be the most interesting. I did not know prior to watching the q & A that Tim had quite an interest in wanting to play a magician. Nor did I realize that Hardison has quite a few Doctor Who references. That alone is reason enough to watch seasons 1 and 2 yet again. There is plenty to laugh along with and plenty to be enlightened by about how this show runs, so definitely check this out.

John Rogers Set Tour (3:08) - Co-creator/executive producer, John Rogers takes viewers behind the scenes of the Portland sound stages to Nate’s loft and the bar. It was quite interesting to find out that Nate’s loft is actually 3x the size of the loft sound stage from last year. There is also an interesting tidbit to learn from John detailing the technical advantages of this year. Though an extremely small set tour (since a lot is filmed on location), there is still something to take out of this tour, so that is why it can be appreciated. So take 3 minutes to watch it and learn a few things about behind the scenes.

Behind the Boom Featurette (7:14) - This feature showcases the special effects for Leverage, more specifically the creation of a major building explosion...and even if you aren't a huge fan of blowing things up, it is still quite fun to watch. So check it out!

"The Hand Job" Spoof Video (5:08) - In this spoof video, Aldis Hodge gives viewers tips on how to rip people off the “Leverage” way. But it doesn’t end there as we get to see Aldis reenacting all of these tips in Hollywood and in and out of the Leverage offices. Aldis brings quite the laughs as he tries to seduce, steal, kidnap, and more. If you need a laugh, this is the special feature for you.

Andy Lange Music Featurette (2:58) - Dean Devlin and singer/songwriter and Sound Mixer for Season 2 of Leverage, Andy Lange talk about how Andy’s song, “Not Sure Yet” made its way onto an episode of the show. What I enjoy most about this feature is that it is short, direct, and to the point...as opposed to other TV show DVDs that focus on this exact thing but do so many other extra things to beef up their simple message. “Not Sure Yet” is available on Andy’s album, “Wherever You Wanna Go” on iTunes.

Season 2 Wrap Party Gag Reel (9:02 Minutes) - It is quite odd that this feature is called “Season 2 Wrap Party Gag Reel” because footage of the Season 2 Wrap Party is not shown. Instead, there is a 5 minute gag reel and the last 4 minutes include random footage from around the trailers with the cast and crew. In the gag reel, we find out how much Christian loves his hair, viewers see Beth falling on the fashion runway, Aldis messing up a line big time, and everyone just fooling around. It’s quite a fun reel. In the last 4 minutes of this feature, the most exciting bit was Aldis, Beth, and Chris pretending to be promiscuous divas. This was such a fun special feature to watch, actually every feature on this DVD is worth the watch. You will not be disappointed.

DVD Review: Life

Four years in the making, filmed over 3000 days, across every continent and in every habitat, with a production budget of £14 million ($22 million) Life is the latest wildlife blockbuster from the BBC’s award-winning Natural History Unit, the producers of Planet Earth and The Blue Planet.

Release Date: June 1, 2010 Running Time 484 minutes

Packed with excitement, revelation, entertainment, and stunning screen firsts, this breathtaking ten-part blockbuster presents 130 incredible stories from the frontiers of the natural world. Discover the glorious variety of life on Earth and the spectacular and extraordinary tactics animals and plants have developed to stay alive, individual creatures under extreme pressure to overcome challenges from adversaries and their environment, pushing the boundaries of behavior.

Life is a fascinating documentary that will catch and maintain everyone's interests. Oprah Winfreydoes an excellent job at narrating this series, sometimes even being quite amusing - a nice change from the typical boring narration of educational videos. This is a documentary that everyone of all ages can appreciate and learn from and as if the information at hand weren't intriguing enough, the footage is incredible! This would definitely have caught my interest if it were released and shown when I was in school. Many of these animals have never been filmed (this way) before just living their lives. You will be surprised by just how many unique animals there are all across the world. There is no question that viewers will learn a great deal about the animal kingdom, particularly about how the animals shown survive, get their food, and mate. The first ten episodes aired on television and the eleventh episode is about the making of Life (also directed by Oprah Winfrey). Each disc is just over 2 hours, not including the bonus features. If you are not easily engaged by animals or animal documentaries, I would suggest you not watch this documentary straight through like you would a scripted or "reality" television series. Watch this documentary in increments, so as not to wear yourself out, so that you can really appreciate everything that you see. Aside from that tip, there is nothing more to say about the documentary other than it is worth every penny on DVD.

Special Features - Each disc has about a half hour worth of behind the scenes footage with no narration, but follows those researchers and cameramen documenting the animals. It will amaze you how close those working on the project got to the animals, as one would assume most of the footage would be zoomed in for the more dangerous animals. But nope, they are only a few feet away. What a scary and yet equally exhilarating and exciting job! This footage mainly details the challenges that were faced during filming, like shooting the flying fish (which was slowed down 40 times in the finished product), and shooting the birds mating as time was running out on the job. This footage is actually much more interesting to me than the "Making Of" bonus episode and as a whole is its own "Making of" episode with no narration and more of a relaxed direction and tone. So this footage would have to be my favorite of all of the bonus features.

Primates: The Making of (10:33) - This is surprisingly not narrated by Oprah Winfrey and after listening to her voice for 11 hours, it was a nice change. Though I wasn't particularly interested in the making of this episode, so this feature can be appreciated more if you are.

Deleted Scenes (18:09) - These deleted scenes include narration by Oprah Winfrey. The first begins with birds and ends with plants. If you need just a little bit more insight into the animals featured in the 11 episodes, this is the special feature for you!

TV Review: Flash Forward - Future Shock

*Review May Contain Spoilers*

Olivia: At 10:00 p.m., the answers will come... because they will. It's not about equations. It's not about the two of us just physically being here. It's about this moment... right here. I've fought it and resisted it, and yet here it is. It happened. The future happened.

It's finally April 29th and it seems fate has overshadowed free will. In this episode, we find that most if not all of our characters are right where they were in their flash forwards, whether they liked it or not. Mark uncovers the date of the next blackout and after quite the shoot out, seems to sacrifice himself while sharing this news with the world. Simon and Demetri break into the NLAP mainframe, with the help of Janis...who's diversion led her to the hospital. It's a boy for Janis! In less exciting news...Dylan and Lloyd end up meeting Charlie and Olivia at the beach in the beginning of the episode, so the adults attempt to head to Olivia's and recreate their flash forward without actually sleeping together. I wonder how Olivia feels about trying to be on track with her flash forward when her husband is dying. But that's about all that is not too positive in this episode...Mark's death and Olivia and Lloyd just dying to recreate their flash forward. Everything else seems to work out great for the others. Even though I like the idea of Bryce with Nicole, the search Keiko and Bryce have is like no other. It was so exciting to see Keiko's mother give Keiko her blessing to run off to find Bryce while Bryce bribing the security guard for Keiko's information. Seeing the two lovebirds meet up was more exciting than I initially thought it would be, since I was more attached to the idea of Nicole and Bryce. But even though Nicole doesn't have Bryce, she is still alive and well...which is more than she thought she would be at this time. Thankfully, she was saved from her drowning by a man who saw himself saving her in his flash forward. Talk about a life saver. We knew Nicole would survive, since she had a flash forward but it seems this good Samaritan saved Nicole's life in the sense of renewed faith and hope. We also knew that Tracy would live on this night since Aaron saw her eyes open in the flash forward. What we didn't know was that the second flash forward was indeed coming tonight, and the world would see their future in 2015! Talk about an incredible cliffhanger that will never be answered since this was the series finale. Teenage Charlie saying “they found him” brings for lots of speculation as to who she is talking about. But alas, this is the series finale so since many questions will never be answered in the screen format, best get the original take on this story in the book this series was adapted from by Robert Sawyer. Great series, too bad it ended prematurely.

Sammy Allen Releases Behind The Sun

Singer/songwriter, Sammy Allen releases her debut EP, Behind The Sun on June 15, 2010 and you will definitely want to pick this up.

The Virginia native pursued her music career early on in New York City but it wasn't until she relocated to Los Angeles that she formed a band (Seven Stitches) and also began working on her solo project. Sammy worked with Jeeve (Nicole Scherzinger, Paulina Rubio, Carlos Santana, Thalia, Tupac Shakur, Hypnogaja) and writer/producer Mark Nubar (Eden's Crush, Howard Hewett, Hypnogaja) for this EP and her first singles, "I Can See Into Forever" and "Breathe" are available now on iTunes and Amazon. This EP is not your typical EP, as it's not at all about love or heartache. These lyrics are heavy in a completely different way, tackling some very significant issues that I was not expecting for the most part. Sammy is an incredibly talented songwriter and not only that, but it seems as though she would be fabulous to see rocking out live. There is just something about live music that makes you appreciate music all the more and Sammy seems like she has that stage presence and passion to create such an atmosphere as that. My favorite track is "Breathe" but every song is fantastic in its own way. Definitely pick up this EP on June 15th, it is well worth it.

1. Division
2. Shiny Places (House Of Cards)
3. I Can See Into Forever (feat. Hypnogaja)
4. Behind The Sun

Alaina Huffman Talks Stargate Universe

Written By: Melody Simpson, Editor in Chief

As we reach the end of the first season of Stargate Universe, one of the show's stars, Alaina Huffman sat down to answer some questions for Hollywood the Write Way about her character, destiny, faith, and more.

Now I am a big fan of Stargate Universe but I haven't seen the other Stargate series. But from what I hear, Stargate Universe is the darkest one. What do you like about part of such a dark drama?
Thank you. You know, I actually am not too familiar with the other Stargate series as well but I like the fact that this show is character driven. Just as an actress, to be able to play such depth to a character, the vulnerability of the character and not have to worry about being a stand up, in your face perfect character...there is nothing wrong with that but I think these characters are more real and I love that.

What is your favorite aspect of Destiny...the mystery, like for example the chair or the surprising resources, like for example the fruit...
I think all of those things are fascinating. It is such a new world and it is really overwhelming if you think about the circumstance we find ourselves in. I love the fact that we go to different planets and we find things. I love how we have real moments and we make Destiny a home. It plays to the old saying that a house is just a house but it is the people in it that make it a home.

Who would you like TJ to connect with more on Destiny?
I like all of the relationships that she has and I definitely feel like all of them can connect more. She definitely has a history with Young, especially now with the baby...I love the fun, sweet girlfriend moments between James, Park, Chloe, and Camile. Then TJ has her connection with her air force buddy, Scott. Then Rush is just Rush...I don't think he knows how to have a relationship with anyone. (laughs).

What is your favorite aspect about TJ and what do you want to see for her future?
I love the strength that TJ has even though she is vulnerable. And I think that her vulnerability actually gives her strength. Something I have learned from her is to not be afraid to not know everything, voice that, and still be a strong person. The producers and writers have voiced this before that they would love the opportunity for TJ to have more power and I would love that. I think it is very fitting for her. I think it would be a growing experience and she would struggle through it but she would be wildly successful. Since TJ and Scott are equals, if anything were to happen to Scott or the Kernel, TJ could take over.

Because TJ is a medic, have you learned anything on set about the medical field?
Yeah, I have a medical adviser that comes on the set whenever I have anything to do where I have to look like I know what I am doing. It was really funny, one day I was doing chest compressions and Ming-Na came over and said, "Hey, sorry, I don't want to step on your toes but if you do it like this, you don't hurt the person." I knew this but it helped to re-hear it and because Ming was on ER for years, she knew it. I kind of joked, "Ming is my medical adviser for season one."

The show recently aired an episode titled, "Faith." Can you tell me how the word "faith" has affected you recently?
I think in general, I love th episode title for the reason that it is so nice to find those moments in your life where you have to go on faith and trust. I think being pregnant on the second or third episode of the show took a lot of faith that I would be okay. Just managing my career and balancing my life as a mother and actress, just breathe through it all.

What is your favorite part about living in LA but filming in Canada?
I'm Canadian, from Vancouver, so it is always nice to go home...in a sense, since I really consider LA to be home. I've lived here in LA for 7 years. I have a house here and all of my children were born here so it is definitely home. My kids and husband come with me when I shoot, we have a condo in Vancouver. It's just nice, there are 2 different lifestyles and I am so thankful for both of them. I feel like it makes us very well rounded and I hope that my kids will look at it as a great opportunity and not a disservice to them.

Lastly, I am dying to know...will you be attending this year's San Diego Comic Con?
I am dying to know too. They aren't telling us yet. I think it will be limited numbers this year. They are getting their list together and I am hoping they let us know soon so we can make our plans.

Stargate Universe airs Fridays at 9/8c on Syfy.

Interview: Denise Boutté of Meet The Browns

It has been quite an incredible past few years for actress, Denise Boutté who has quickly risen to stardom, having starred in Tyler Perry's hit film, Why Did I Get Married? in 2007 and is currently on Tyler Perry’s award-winning TBS series, Meet The Browns . The Louisiana native has appeared on many TV shows and in many films, including Boston Legal, Everybody Hates Chris, Girlfriends, Days of Our Lives, Extreme Movie, and Sister’s Keeper. But that's not all, as she has her own television series in the works! She reveals all in the new interview below.

Starting off with Meet the Browns...can you tell me what your favorite and least fave characteristics are about your character, Sasha?

Oh boy! Okay hmm... My favorite is that she is a wonderful example for a lot of women because she is trying to find the balance between career, kids, and marriage. So I think of a lot of the viewers see a little bit of themselves in my character in the fact that I deal with very serious issues and also get to have some fun. The thing that I don’t like quite as much was that, well really in the beginning she was written as really insecure. But since then, she has become a little more sure of herself and she stands her ground so I like the fact that this has changed.

What would you like to see happen for your character next season?
You know what, I think that now that Sasha has found a friend that is her polar opposite Renee (Terri Vaughn), I’d like to see what they deal with as girlfriends, that people can relate to. A lot of people watch our show in order to get a handle on how to handle certain situations. A lot of parents have told me that they use the show as a way to open up dialogue with their children. So it’s amazing and such a privilege to participate in a show that helps people. So I hope that relationship evolves and I suspect that the family will be expanding. There is just so much opportunity, so much stuff to play around with. Our writing team is so strong now and they really cater to what our strengths are so it will be an amazing ride.

You have appeared in so many hit shows, including Girlfriends and Days of Our Lives. What show would you go back to whether it is on or off the air?
I am missing Girlfriends. I think everyone who was a fan of that show was quite disappointed in the fact that there were a lot of story lines that were left hanging. I always thought about a Girlfriends movie, like a Sex and the City movie…that would be so cool, especially to tie up the loose ends. As for Days of Our Lives, I actually enjoy daytime. Some people think that the pace is crazy fast but on Meet the Browns for instance, we shoot like a daytime series. We will shoot an entire episode in a day. We don’t even actually call it a table read because we are actually up on our feet blocking and so on…whereas in Hollywood it takes 5 days. I think this is an amazing training ground for me. But each experience is unique and film and tv are very different, but I love them both for different reasons. Now that I have done a comedy, I love it so much and I am thinking “what is the next romantic comedy?” I noticed that there is no one like me that is leading a romantic comedy. Jennifer Lopez released The Back Up Plan recently but it’s usually Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, and Kate Hudson. There is no one like us necessarily doing the romantic comedy and I want to be that girl.

Would you write the romantic comedy if it doesn't come your way?
You know what, that is an interesting question because back in the day, my manager, who is still my manager now, told me to make sure that I knew how to create my own opportunities. At that time, I didn’t exactly know what that meant and how to do it but no more than a month later, I spoke to my cousin, Frank and then started doing research. From there, I created a one hour cop drama and started talking to people who had experience pitching. I was able to assemble an amazing writing team and we started handing out a script and the response has been amazing. One network wants us to modify a few things and then we should be on our way. You know, being at Tyler Perry Studios…he is a motivator, he is an innovator and when you are in the studio…those ideologies start to sink in and you really become empowered. So that has given me a lot of confidence in pursuing my own ventures. It is very important to keep your mind actively working and that was what I was focused on and continue to be focused on. It has taken years to come into fruition but it has been worth it. It is good to keep your wheels turning and stay passionate about what you have now and what you will have in the future. That’s what Tyler encourages. You know, if Tyler were to look at my resume beforehand, there’s chance he may not have taken a chance on me. But he’s not that person. When he sees that a person has something, he gives them the opportunity to shine and do with it as you wish and sooner or later fly out of the coup. He sets the foundation and gives you the tools that you need to do that.

I am looking forward to seeing your Pilot on TV hopefully next season.
Thank you. You know just getting the call was fascinating. Anyone in the business knows that is a huge step. If you can get someone to read something, let alone come back and say that they want to adapt the script for their network is great. I know how to write the hell of a treatment but creative writing was a very challenging process, but definitely well worth it.

Meet The Browns airs Wednesday nights on TBS.

Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami Once More

Of all of the E! reality shows, the Kardashians are the most entertaining of them all. That's why I am excited that Kourtney and Khloe are back this June with season 2 of their hit show, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami!

This season brings added tensions between the sisters when Kourtney’s beau Scott, joins the ladies in Miami. Though the Kardashian clan as a whole haven’t been card-carrying members of his fan club, Scott forges ahead, determined to be a good father to Mason, a better boyfriend to Kourtney, and a successful businessman in the club scene in Miami. Scott takes on a new position as the VIP Nightlife and Marketing Director at MIA at Biscayne, and struggles with balancing his priorities between spending time with his family and working demanding, late nights at the club. During one of the down periods in the new parents’ relationship, Scott’s temper results in a shockingly violent, alcohol-fueled incident that pushes a distraught Kourtney to finally take action. And as if that weren’t enough to make things in Miami a bit uncomfortable, when Khloe accuses Scott of being a sociopath, she finds herself on the wrong side of Kourtney’s legendary temper.

Khloe easily picks up right where she left off when she relaunches “Khloe After Dark,” using her outspoken personality to coax the juiciest tidbits from celebs like matchmaker Patti Stanger, television host Brooke Burke, and Britney Spears’ ex, Kevin Federline, among others. A newly married woman, Khloe is determined to divide her time between Miami, and traveling with Lamar when he’s on the road. While Khloe spends time with her new husband, sister Kim jets down to Miami to help Kourtney out with Mason and DASH. While there are plenty of laughs when she and Kourtney spend time together, there are also tender moments. Kim finally feels comfortable enough to open up for the first time about the painful break-up of her relationship.

Throughout the eight episodes, Kourtney and Khloe work hard to juggle their bustling business, incredibly busy personal lives and their sometimes petulant relationships. Luckily they have three new, young DASH Dolls – Jessica, Katy and Jacqui - who join the ladies to help restore the boutique to its former glory. In addition to working at the store, Jessica tends bar at some of the trendiest spots in Miami. She’s got a keen eye for business and hopes to have her own one day. Katy, a party girl from Texas, is having fun in Miami and is excited to show off her new breast augmentation to nearly anyone willing to take a look. And then there’s Jacqui, fierce and rambunctious, who has no need for phony niceties and doesn’t care who she offends.

Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami premieres Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 10/9c on E!...and I'll be watching! Will you?

The Russell Brand Experiment: Buy Love Here

Earlier today, Russell Brand began a social experiment, entitled Buy Love Here where he hosted a swap shop at the Beverly Center Mall in LA.

Shoppers brought their used clothing and items to exchange them for (name brand) products and apparel (some previously owned by celebrities) and fan donations. Russell spoke with the public about their experiences, all on camera for his documentary, "Happiness" that he is putting together. It will be interesting to see how this portion of the doc will be edited as it was fun to see what people were willing to give up to get something else they needed, well mostly just wanted. The doc is about the pursuit of happiness so I cannot wait to see the finished project and I know you can't wait either, so stay tuned for more information on that as it comes out.

Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton and legendary artist, Shephard Fairey also attended the event.

The idea is to raise debate about the scale of consumer culture and to promote the re-use of products in a surplus society....so whether you attended the event today or not, what do you think about the scale of consumer culture in this generation?

DVD Review: Valentine's Day

One film that I was anticipating to come out in theaters for quite some time was Valentine's Day, so I am even more excited that it is now available on DVD & Blu-ray.

Release Date: May 18, 2010
Rating: PG-13
Running Time: 125 minutes

The starriest cast you may ever see sparkles in a hilarious and heartwarming romcom from the director of Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries. Stories crisscross, collide and boomerang in this look at a day in the life of love. There?s a proposal. Flowers that didn?t get sent. A big fat secret that?s finally told. The ?I?ll show up and surprise him? that ended up surprising her. Fights, kisses, wrong turns, right moves and more. Whether new to or through with love, you'll fall in love with this 19-star, funny-side-up celebration of romance.

What is so special about Valentine's Day is that this film covers the spectrum of age, sexual orientation, and relationship status very well thanks to the incredible writing and the talented ensemble cast that was able to be put together. Going into the film, I imagined that with such a big cast, the film would probably be like watching short vignettes that were loosely tied together. I wasn't wrong. Though everything was interwoven much more thoroughly than I had imagined, some in surprising ways. Viewers will see the good, the bad, and the ugly that comes out on the holiday that gets under everyone's skin. It is the perfect date movie but it is also the perfect movie to watch with your family and friends. It is incredible what people are willing or aren't willing to do for the people they love...or lust. This is such a fun film to watch that I wouldn't be surprised if this was "the movie" to watch every Valentine's Day. So pick up your copy today because you will be highly entertained. The bloopers during the rolling credits are a fun touch as well since there is no blooper reel on the DVD's Special Features.

Bonus Features:

Deleted Scenes
- There are 14 deleted scenes that start out with an introduction from Director, Garry Marshall. After watching the deleted scenes, it is no wonder why many of the scenes were deleted. So if you normally don't watch deleted scenes or are weary of the scenes taking away from the film, then don't watch the deleted scenes.

Valentine's Day is available to own on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, On Demand, and for Download today.

DVD Review: Hoarders The Complete Season One

My family knows that I like my keepsakes and have joked on occasion about the few things that I still have from all the way back from when I was a toddler. I would say from when I was a baby but I finally let go of a few of my baby clothes 2 years ago. But the comedic tone shifted dramatically after I watched Hoarders The Complete Season One. I was and you will be fascinated with watching people all across America who are unable to part with all of their belongings. I remember visiting a friend's house and noticed her terrible housekeeping habits and now realize that it was "hoarding"...and now realize that over 3 million people in America are "hoarders!" Talk about eye opening.

Release Date: May 25, 2010
Running Time: 5h, 29 mins. + extras

One man’s garbage is another man’s…home.

HOARDERS, A&E’s record busting series (Season 2 premiered to over 3.2 million viewers) goes inside the topsy-turvy lives of people whose inability to part with their belongings is so out of control that they are on the verge of a personal crisis. Whether they're facing eviction, the loss of their children, jail time, or divorce, they are all desperately in need of professional help. HOARDERS: THE COMPLETE SEASON ONE arrives on DVD on May 25, in a special edition featuring all 7 hour-long episodes and over 20 minutes of never-before-broadcast footage.

Each 60 minute episode focuses on two hoarders in crisis, capturing the drama in fly-on-the-wall style, as experts work to put the hoarders on the road to recovery. The healing won’t be easy, however, as cleaning is just the first step --like taking drugs away from an addict. For some, throwing away even the tiniest thing -- a sponge, a button, an empty box -- is so painful that they will not be able to allow the cleaning to be completed, no matter the consequences. For others, professional help and an organizer's guidance give them the strength to recover. At the end of each episode, the show reveals who has been able to keep their hoarding behavior at bay and who, despite help, is still lost inside this painful disease.

Going into this series, you must understand that hoarding is apparently a mental disorder because if you cannot understand and accept that than this is not the right show for you to watch. You will feel much more uneasy than you already will feel as you watch if you cannot accept this fact. Really, this is hard to watch for anyone because it is disturbing to know that these human beings are living in the conditions that they are. The most unpleasant episodes for me have to be "Jake / Shirley" and "Kerrylea / Lauren." Jake seems phony and threatens suicide and Kerrylea was being extremely difficult, barely letting the moving crew help. Oh no, wait, that's not the worst of it. One senior woman's issues wasn't so much about hoarding things as it was about hoarding animals. As a huge lover of cats, I was heartbroken to find that (Spoiler Alert!) there were over 70 cats found in this woman's home and about 40 of them were dead (some long dead, brittle skeletons). This episode is quite graphic and highly disturbing, especially for animal lovers. Thankfully, psychologists and professional organizers were on hand to guide and help every hoarder every step of the way in cleaning out not only their homes but their cluttered and distorted ways of thinking. If only it didn't take all of this for someone to come to their senses for the sake of their well being (and others). Ah, so sad. This series as a whole will scare you into keeping your house tidy everyday if you already don't keep it as presentable as possible. Whether you enjoy the series or not, it will make you think twice about the things that take up space in your life. If you need that reminder, it is worth owning on DVD.

Additional Footage: (21:13 minutes)
A few minutes of extra footage from each episode is shared. Some footage shared has more background information about the hoarders and their families, while the rest of the footage just shows a few extra moments of the hoarders being conflicted with their decisions to continue to clean out their mess. There is nothing fascinating that you must see in the extra footage, so I'd skip it. What would have been quite an intriguing bonus feature would have been catching up with the hoarders 6 months later to see how their progress is. Of course there is an update to read about where the hoarders are a few months down the line right before the end credits, but that is just not satisfying enough. After watching the entire season, you will find yourself rooting for these hoarders to get long term help, so a tangible update would have been more fulfilling. So if you have 20 minutes to lose, check out the additional footage, otherwise it is a skip.

Hoarders The Complete Season One is available May 25, 2010 on DVD.

One Tree Hill - Almost Everything I Wish I'd Said the Last Time I Saw You
(Season Finale)

Haley: I was trying to feel something. Anything.

Therapist: And what did you find down there?

Haley: I remembered some of the good things in my life.

Therapist: And did that make you feel alive?

Haley: No. But it made me want to.

This was perhaps my favorite opening to a One Tree Hill season finale. Not just looking back on Haley & Nathan's relationship but seeing how disconnected Haley is and her attempt to reconnect made this opening so touching. But the emotions were really bittersweet throughout the entire episode. Seeing everyone go to Utah for vacation - since it was where Julian's film was playing - was such a sweet end to the season. Especially since the vacation proved to be a success with the news of Haley's pregnancy and the engagement of Brooke and Julian. Congratulations to both couples! I already cannot wait until the next season to see the Scotts prepare for another baby and Brooke prepare for a wedding! Unfortunately the vacation did not end on a swell note for Quinn and Clay. The writers really had me fooled, thinking Katie was locked up. I wonder if either Quinn or Clay will have long term damage from the gun shots or if they will just heal over a short period of time. We'll have to wait until next season to find out. That was a great twist. There had to be some "shocking moment" since Alex's co-star did not come out of the closet, which it seemed like he would do for a moment. Speaking of Alex...she seems like she has genuinely made a 360 degree lifestyle change, so her dating Chase could be good for her. It is quite odd to get used to, these two together, knowing how unstable she has been and how stable he is. Clearly, opposites attract. Only time will tell if they will balance each other out or if they are just better off as friends. Well, there is quite a lot to look forward to next season and while I love the show, I would hope that next season be its last so that it goes out on a good note and not a tiresome note. Anyway, this was quite a gripping episode and I look forward to an even more gripping season premiere this fall.

Gossip Girl - Last Tango, Then Paris (Season Finale)

Chuck: If you want to leave, now is the time.

Jenny: You're not kicking me out?

Chuck: Some of them don't get the choice.

Jenny: I don't want to be alone.

Chuck: Neither do I.

This episode right here is why I love this show so much! The anticipation of whether or not Blair would get Chuck back was so high and the end result was so wild. Blair avoiding the Empire State and then Dorota's water breaking when she was going to change her mind was just her luck! Too bad Chuck didn't wait just a little bit longer. He might have avoided the gun shot if he had. Now he is literally heart broken. Ha. Anyway, it is troubling that it took Dan to get out the truth about Jenny & Chuck. As if Dan hasn't shown how much of an honest man he is enough...Blair really knows who she can trust. It's crazy how Jenny was willing to take Serena down for her own sake but Dan was willing to do what was right for everyone's sake. Why did he have to sleep with Jenny of all people? Ah Jenny. Jenny taking a photo of Dan & Serena literally sleeping together was stupid and low. That was just low. But Jenny's actions did provide clarity for Nate. I was livid for a moment at the thought of Jenny trying to get with Nate but thankfully Nate didn't go for the bait. Though it is quite unfortunate how Nate found out that Serena and Dan were getting back together, he should move on. Because it is really unfortunate that Nate and Dan won't get over Serena because they both can do better. Last but certainly not the least, is Georgina really pregnant with Dan's baby? Fabulous finale! It went out with a bang and I can't wait to see how the show returns!

90210 - Confessions (Season Finale)

Naomi: Like you're perfect?

Liam: No. I'm not. But this? We're done.

What a fabulous season finale! This was better than last season's finale. My immediate reaction to Ryan receiving the paternity test was that I felt bad that he could possibly be having a baby with Jen. Who wants their child to have Jen's traits? My second reaction was that if this test indeed proves he is the father, hopefully he can get full custody on account of Jen being a psychopath. Though Jen has much more money, so unfortunately much more power in regards to getting a fabulous lawyer. Ryan getting drunk also won't help his case. If any teacher needs to be suspended...well, let's just hope he doesn't show up to school drunk. Turns out Mr. Cannon does need to be fired. Mr. Cannon putting Naomi in such a vulnerable state was very frightening to see. Even though he is right, that she is the girl who cried wolf...Naomi is a smart girl. So it better not take half of season 3 for her to frames him to show everyone the truth. Speaking of the truth...well, this episode is called "confessions" and I was so proud of everyone sharing theirs. Though that is as far as it went so we will all have to wait until season 3 to find out the repercussions of their tellings. I was proud of Ivy for telling Dixon that she wouldn't "play the second fiddle" another time. Ivy has a valid point and doesn't deserve to be taken on that ride again, so hopefully this will work out in her favor this time. I was also proud of Liam breaking up with Naomi. He can do so much better. While I don't think Annie is much better, it's a start in a better direction if that is indeed his choice. Though with Annie's confession about killing a man, maybe Liam is just better off by himself. He might have to be if the police catch him beating up Jasper (even though he had a valid reason for doing so). Jasper should pay Liam back for that boat and I will be highly disappointed if he is not told to do so by the law. Better together though is Navid and Adrianna. I was not expecting Navid and Adrianna to get back together basically in front of the whole school. But I loved every moment of it and I love the way this scene was directed. It was probably my favorite scene of this episode. I was also thrilled that Silver told Teddy what his father did to her. Though Teddy is trying to see past what his father and what Silver are trying to do for him, maybe he should stop and think about why these people are doing what they are doing and consider taking some time away from relationships to focus on tennis. He has devoted his whole life to tennis, so it would be a shame to throw it all away now at such an important point in his life. Love can wait. Lastly, the most incredible confession of all...I wasn't expecting for Harry to go tell the truth to the board, hence getting fired and leading to quite a shocking revelation...Deb doesn't love Harry anymore. How tragic. Those are words I don't think anyone wants to hear from the one they love. If that doesn't scream "I want a divorce," I don't know what does. It seems as though that is where this relationship is heading so it will be quite an interesting journey in season 3 for this family. This was a fabulous finale, as the show has set up some fabulous cliffhangers and there are so many directions every character has to go. So I am looking forward to season 3 very much! Are you?

V - Red Sky (Season Finale)

Anna: What's happening to me?

Marcus: I believe you are feeling your first human emotion.

This was such an exciting finale! It exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait until season 2! With Anna killing Val and bringing Ryan back onto her side, the fifth column is in serious danger. That is unless Ryan somehow gains his memory back about Val. But even then he maybe conflicted since their baby is a V. If his memory returned and he found out that Anna did indeed kill Val, would he save his baby while going back to the good side or is that a sacrifice he is willing to make for mankind? No matter what happens, the war is on now that the Pastor has made a sermon about choosing a side and Erica has killed Anna's army. Anna's (human like) reaction to this was the best scene in this episode! I loved Lisa's smirk when Anna was freaking out. Will her human emotions get in the way of her decision making? As far as decision making goes, Lisa helping Erica was a step in the right direction. Hopefully in season 2, Lisa becomes a full fledged fifth column member. It wouldn't be a finale without the serious threat of a fatality of one of the good, but it was still terrifying seeing Erica and Joshua in such a compromising state. Thankfully, he was brought back from the dead! Will they be so lucky the next time? Lastly, I didn't want to see it before but Chad is so idiotic. Anna threatened him plain as day and he is still doing nothing to save himself or others. Hopefully Chad seeing one of the visitors being tortured will change his mind. Again, this was a fantastic finale and I look forward to season 2 very much.

Flash Forward - Countdown

This was such a great episode, building up to the hour of April 29th at which the flash forwards took place. The episode opened on April 29th at 3:23am with Charlie terrified that her flash forward would come true later in the day of her father dying. Talk about disturbing. That must be so hard for her. Today is a tough day for everyone. I laughed when Nicole said, "Happy Flash Forward Day" because it really isn't such a happy day for everyone, especially with her flash forward being her drowning. Thankfully she told Bryce that Keiko was in town, so he could try to win her heart. But what's left for Nicole and Bryce and will there even be a chance for Nicole to redeem herself in Bryce's eyes? It doesn't get any better, as we've got Aaron fighting for his daughter's life, which was just so heartbreaking. He went to so many lengths to get his daughter back and now she is possibly dead. If there's any hope to be had in this episode it's mainly for the following characters. Demetri telling Zoey that he slept with Janice so that she could get pregnant was smart to do now rather than later. But Demetri loves her too much to keep anything from her for too long. Now even though he didn't have faith in the future before, hopefully Zoey will come around because these two are so great together. Then there's Mark, who continues his interrogation of Hellinger but Stanford says he's got everything covered so only time will tell if he does. With just one episode left of the series, the anticipation is killing me as to where these characters will be by the end of the day...whose flash forwards will come true and if it ends up being positive or negative for not only the individuals but everyone around them. Fantastic episode, looking forward to the finale.

The Office - Whistleblower (Season Finale)

Michael: I miss Holly.

This was quite a disappointment for a season finale. The cold open was funny but it wasn't hilarious right off the bat. It's the kind of cold open that becomes funnier as you watch it more and more. So in the long run, it is a good thing but for right now, it just didn't pack a huge punch of hilarity. Who knew the printers catching on fire plot would grow into its own episode? Kathy Bates guest starred in this episode as Jo and does anybody else find it odd and hilarious that Jo brings her dog with her every time she comes to the office? Was it already explained in a previous episode why she does this or is this just a comedic mystery? Anyway, the mystery of who was the whistle blower was really not all that interesting. I didn't care that it was Darryl or Pam or anyone else. I didn't care that Andy was getting blamed for it and everyone was blaming each other. It was kind of funny when the cameras met David Wallace briefly outside on his doorstep. Really though, the best moment was when Gabe told the office that he was leaving. It troubles me that the most amusing scene was with someone who I've never connected with. Of course that is what made it so funny, but really? This is the season finale. Jo and Michael may have bonded and there is the hope that Holly may cross paths with Michael in the next season, but aside from that there really does not seem to be anything to look forward to for the next season. This was a weak finale and not one of my favorite seasons...so I am really hoping that next season is much more entertaining.

My Very Brief Take On Lost: The End

When Lost premiered, I watched the first season. I enjoyed the first season, but I was dedicated to so many other shows that my dedication to Lost halted. Years later, in the summer of 2008, I finally was able to and decided to catch up with the show and watched seasons 2-4 in less than 2 weeks. I was caught up! So in between seasons 4 and 5, I began listening to the Lost Podcast with Jay & Jack who have greatly helped me understand and appreciate this show so much more than I originally did. So I cannot wait to hear their take on the final episode of Lost, which aired last night. But here are my initial thoughts of the finale.

At first, I thought that the island was limbo and everyone was "lost" before they found their way. But when putting the flash sideways into the equation...it seems that actually the flash sideways was where the characters were in purgatory. So once those in the flash sideways regained their memories, they were then able to find their way to the church and move on. As Christian Shephard said in the last few minutes of the show, the island and everything that happened on it was real. So the island was real, the flash sideways purgatory. He also said how some died before Jack and some after. So it seems to me that Kate, Sawyer, Claire, Frank, Richard, and Miles died after him. Some might ask if everyone died at different times, why were they all together at the church. Everyone was going to the church to move on at the same time because they all needed each other to remember and let go, just as Christian said to Jack. Everything that Christian says in the last few moments of the show really explains so much, so well. Definitely re-watch it if you are feeling a little lost. I believe the island was all about redemption and finding one's destiny - the most important part of Jack's life (as Christian said) and really everyone's lives. So when Oceanic 815 crashed, fate kicked into overdrive and that was the beginning of everyone really finding their way. That was the beginning of the end.

These are just my initial thoughts and I was not one of those fans who analyzed every little thing throughout the seasons, so I cannot be as detailed as others right off the bat with my complete understanding of the show. I would love to watch the entire series from the beginning again to put all of what I know now into what I didn't know then, perhaps put some pieces together. I'm sure I will still have some questions even after I watch the series over again and even after questions are answered on the DVD that will be released in August...but that is what is so wonderful about this show. It was so spiritual, so profound...but it just wouldn't seem fitting to have all of the answers to a show titled, "Lost." So with that said, I loved the series, loved the finale, and I didn't mind and still don't being a little lost in this entire journey.

Music Spotlight: Official Hot Mess

You've heard their music on every hit show from “The City” and “Jersey Shore” to “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Dollhouse.” Recently, sisters, Kristy and Lindsey Landers - better known as Official Hot Mess - released a music video for their hit single “Welcome to L.A.” The duo was more than happy to discuss the video and lots more about themselves in this new interview exclusively for Hollywood the Write Way.

Since you are sisters, is it easier or harder working together?
I think for the most part it is easier because you know you always have someone on your side. We are very forward with each other and balance each other well. We bicker but we don't argue very much.

I love the song “Welcome to L.A.” but what is your favorite and least favorite part about LA?
We were born in LA so we love LA. Our parents moved us to Florida when we were young to keep us out of the entertainment business...which obviously worked wonderfully (laughs). Everything is so much bigger and exciting coming from Florida to LA.

Your music has appeared on many shows! What show were you most excited about having your music appear on and what shows would you like your music to appear on?
We were so excited when we saw Snooki and The Situation fist pumping to our song! That was the most exciting because we didn't know the song would be on, we were just watching the show and all of a sudden our song came on. When our music played on "The City" end credits, it was so just so fitting for what was happening at the end of the episode, it was perfect. I'm a big fan of CSI Miami so that would be great.

When did you decide that you seriously wanted to pursue a music career?
We wrote our first song when we were on a TBS kids show when we were really little and haven't stopped since. We put demos on the internet, was signed and have toured and it has been so awesome.

You have toured with everyone from the Bangles to We the Kings. What has been your favorite country to tour and who have you learned from the most whether about the music or about the business?
Japan was definitely the coolest experience for us. It's so different from where we are from, this little beach town. It's kind of like New York but bigger and quiet. It was a really incredible experience for us because the audience was very receptive to our music and were really nice and respectful. Also, touring with The Bangles was a huge honor because we really look up to them.

What went behind the decision to have Adrianne Curry in the music video?
We met Adrianne at a charity event that we played at the Playboy Mansion. So we talked for awhile and told her about the song and she loved it. So we thought she would be great addition to the video and she was awesome.

Would you ever record a live album?
We would love to record a live album. I think the live performance aspect is our favorite aspects of the entire music scene because it's such a great moment to connect with the fans, who respond to everything.

Lastly...you two are vegetarians, what would you say to someone considering being vegetarian?
Well we have never really had the desire to try meat. Our mom never denied us meat, we just have never had the desire to try it. We are big animal activists, we are members of PETA, and we have tons of animals at our house. But we would cook someone a delicious tofu dinner and that would instantly convince them (laughs). But really, when you do the research, people can see how much healthier it is. But I think it depends on the person, if someone is convinced that vegetarianism is the right choice for them that is great, but if not, it's just not for them.

DVD Review: Avatar

It has been one month since the DVD release of Avatar and if for some reason you haven't seen this film yet...I am urging you to watch the film that is truly inspiring to us all.

Release Date: April 22, 2010
Rating: PG-13
Run Time: 162 minutes

A reluctant hero. An epic journey. A choice between the life he left behind and the incredible new world he’s learned to call home. Return to James Cameron’s Avatar — the greatest adventure of all time.

It's hard not to appreciate a work of art that was so many years in the making. Avatar is no doubt much more memorable for its stunning visuals than it is for its story. What an understatement it would be to name this film impressive. The visual effects are out of this world. The Na'vi culture is quite fascinating to say the least...the look, the language, every little detail created in this culture and in this world was so well thought out that it will make you as a viewer yearn for such beauty in the real world. Now while this may just be the most beautiful film you have ever seen and while the characters are well layered, the performances solid...there is no denying that the story itself was simple and quite predictable. James Cameron did a superb job directing this film. But it seems all of the effort was put forth in the visual aspects and little was put forth in creating more of an original story. What makes this such a thrilling adventure to watch is not the plot but the anticipation of what there is to discover on Pandora. As far as the plot goes..there's romance, there's the dilemma of morals vs. business politics, there's self discovery, there's humor, there's action...there's something for everyone. One thing there isn't...special features on the DVD. So my honest advice is to wait for this DVD to re-release with special features or even better, wait for the 3D release to get the most out of this film. Many have called Avatar "epic," and "one of the greatest films of 2009" and after viewing the film for yourself, you will see why it would be the perfect addition to your home movie collection.

Own Avatar on DVD & Blu-Ray today.

The CW Upfronts + Preview of the New Series

Today was quite an eventful day for The CW as the network released their fall schedule (with quite a few time changes to its existing shows), adding 2 new original series and Katy Perry into the mix. Katy Perry opened The CW Upfront event with 2 songs, "Hot N Cold" and "California Gurls," as her new single is the new theme for the network this season!

Then, the 2010-2011 schedule was unveiled, and you can check it out here.

Based on their schedule, I'll be tuned in Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday nights 8pm-10pm and Wednesday nights 9pm-10pm. When will you be tuning in? If you don't know, here's some scoop on some existing shows and previews of the new shows...

The Scoop:
Season 3 of 90210 takes the West Beverly High kids into their senior year! We'll experience the kids getting accepted and rejected in college, go to prom, have quite an experience over Spring Break and lots more. Quoting from the press release, "From the very beginning of the school year, the lives of the West Beverly group will be shaken up in a way none of them could ever imagine. And from this new starting point, their journeys will take them to staggering new heights and terrifying new depths. We'll see the rise of a pop sensation and the fall of a group of friends, the beginning of a new love and the end of a professional dream, the creation of an unlikely family and the demise of another. And that's just the first week of school..."

In the next season of Gossip Girl, viewers will see Serena & Blair enjoying their time in Paris, France until Chuck arrives with a new girlfriend and new identity.

Coming up on One Tree Hill...Brooke is making wedding preparations and Haley believes she will be having a girl...but "how will she balance her pregnancy while raising Jamie and pursing her music career?"

We haven't seen the last of Katherine on The Vampire Diaries. Also, "new and unexpected friendships will be forged, allies will become enemies, and hearts will be broken. Stefan and Damon will be forced to face a villain more evil and diabolical than they ever believed possible. And they'll take their shirts off. Frequently."

Below are previews of the new original series that have been picked up that you must check out. I was very surprised at how Hellcats exceeded my expectations and I will gladly tune in for the show - and not just tune in to support certain actors whose careers I like to follow - now that I have seen how much potential the show truly has. If you think this show is just cheerleader fluff, you are very much mistaken. Check it out this fall, you will not be disappointed. Nikita automatically drew me in, as I really love action dramas and what better an action drama than one with a leading female? Apparently The CW has been trying to create a show based around a strong female lead since the network began...and it has got quite a success on its hands with this one. It was definitely worth the wait creating this. Here are the previews...

HELLCATS is a coming-of-age story about Marti Perkins, a young, pre-law student at Lancer University in Memphis, Tennessee. Marti is cool, hip and alt, but her world flips upside down, literally and figuratively, when she loses her scholarship, and realizes the only way she can stay in school is by reigniting her dormant teen gymnastic skills to win a place on Lancer's legendary cheerleading team, The Hellcats. Against her every instinct, Marti goes for it and makes the squad, and is thrust into a world of camaraderie, backstabbing and the intersection of sports, backroom academia and big money. Marti's new roommate, Savannah Monroe, a petite, peppy Texan, is among the diverse cast of athletes, undergrads, family and friends, all set on the sprawling campus of a powerhouse college football program in the deep South. The series stars Aly Michalka as Marti Perkins, Ashley Tisdale as Savannah Monroe, Heather Hemmens as Alice Verdura, Robbie Jones as Lewis Flynn, Matt Barr as Dan Patch, with Sharon Leal as Vanessa Lodge and Gail O'Grady as Wanda Perkins. HELLCATS is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Tom Welling Productions, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Kevin Murphy ("Desperate Housewives"), Tom Welling ("Smallville") and Allan Arkush ("Heroes," "Crossing Jordan"). The pilot was directed by Allan Arkush.

NIKITA
When she was a deeply troubled teenager, Nikita was rescued from death row by a secret U.S. agency known only as Division, who faked her execution and told her she was being given a second chance to start a new life and serve her country. What they didn't tell her was that she was being trained as a spy and assassin. Ultimately, Nikita was betrayed and her dreams shattered by the only people she thought she could trust. Now, after three years in hiding, Nikita is seeking retribution and making it clear to her former bosses that she will stop at nothing to expose and destroy their covert operation. For the time being, however, Division continues to recruit and train other young people, erasing all evidence of their former lives and turning them into cold and efficient killers. One of these new recruits, Alex, is just beginning to understand what lies ahead for her and why the legendary Nikita made the desperate decision to run. The series stars Maggie Q as Nikita, Lyndsy Fonseca as Alex, Shane West as Michael, Aaron Stanford as Birkhoff, Ashton Holmes as Thom, Tiffany Hines as Jaden, with Melinda Clarke as Amanda and Xander Berkeley as Percy. NIKITA is from Warner Bros. Television in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, with executive producers Craig Silverstein ("Bones," "K-Ville"), Danny Cannon ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Chuck"), McG ("Supernatural," "Chuck," "The O.C.," "Charlie's Angels"), and Peter Johnson ("Supernatural," "Chuck"). The pilot was directed by Danny Cannon.

MIDSEASON

SHEDDING FOR THE WEDDING (working title)
They are two of the most stressful things in life – planning a wedding and losing weight. Ten overweight engaged couples will live together and battle for the wedding of their dreams over a three-month period. Every episode, the couples will face off in a big physical challenge, competing to win one element of their wedding – from the invitations, to the cake, to the rings. Whatever they win will be theirs to keep. Together, they will plan their weddings with the help of the nation's top wedding planners, they will take a vow to eat right and exercise, and world-class trainers and nutritionists will completely overhaul their bodies. At the end of each episode, the couples will step on the scale and be weighed together – the couple who lost the least amount of combined weight that week will be eliminated. In the end, one couple will win their fantasy wedding – a once-in-a-lifetime event – that America will attend. SHEDDING FOR THE WEDDING (working title) is from Raquel Productions Inc. with executive producers Dave Broome ("The Biggest Loser") and Rick Hurvitz ("Pimp My Ride").

Also definitely worth the mention to watch this summer...

PLAIN JANE is a new summer reality series that transforms one woman from the inside out to reveal a brand new woman. Each of the eight episodes will feature a new "Jane" searching for the change of a lifetime. With the help of British fashion expert Louise Roe ("Fashion Police: The 2009 Grammy Awards"), each Plain Jane will receive a head-to-toe style transformation, including new wardrobe and confidence-building exercises. Once the transformation is complete, the formerly Plain Jane will surprise her unsuspecting crush with the new look and reveal her true feelings to him. A love connection is – or isn't – made. Hosted by Louise Roe, PLAIN JANE is executive produced by Allison Grodner ("Big Brother"), Rich Meehan ("Big Brother") and Amy Palmer ("You're Cut Off") for Fly on the Wall Entertainment. The series is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.

Lots of good TV to talk about this season!
