When I Didn’t Have a DVR, I Watched…

I’m starting a new feature on the blog today to show what TV series I chose to watch and what TV series I chose to skip when I didn’t have a DVR. For right now, I’m only going to focus on primetime schedules from the past ten years.

Today, I’m going back to Monday nights in the fall of 2007…

In the Fall of 2007, Primetime TV Looked Like This:

8pm
ABC Dancing with the Stars
CBS How I Met Your Mother
The CW Everybody Hates Chris
Fox Prison Break
NBC Chuck

8:30pm
CBS The Big Bang Theory
The CW Aliens in America

9pm
CBS Two and a Half Men
The CW Girlfriends
Fox K-Ville
NBC Heroes

9:30pm
ABC Samantha Who?
CBS Rules of Engagement
The CW The Game

10pm
ABC The Bachelor
CBS CSI: Miami
The CW Local Programming
Fox Local Programming
NBC Journeyman

I Watched:
8pm
Chuck on NBC instead of Prison Break on Fox. I’ve always wanted to watch Prison Break but it was never on at a time I wasn’t watching something else. Also, I typically wait for The Big Bang Theory to release on DVD so I can marathon through the show.

9pm
Heroes on NBC instead of K-Ville on Fox. I did watch K-Ville On Demand, however. It was actually a decent show but aside from low ratings, I can see why it was cancelled. I also watched Girlfriends reruns and Samantha Who? every Saturday on ABC.com when new episodes were posted. Sometimes I caught Samantha Who? live but ultimately, Heroes had my heart… even when the show went downhill. I simply couldn’t turn away.

10pm
Journeyman on NBC instead of CSI: Miami on CBS which didn’t last long since Journeyman lasted one season. Back to CSI: Miami I went!

What were you watching on Monday nights in 2007?
