Big Brother 16 Cast Revealed! Here Are My First Impressions!

Big Brother 16 premieres Wednesday night and as usual, I am beyond excited!

First, if you’re unfamiliar with how the game of Big Brother works, check out my post, Explaining Big Brother to People Who Claim It’s Too Hard to Understand. After reading that, check out some tidbits about the twists we can expect this season over at BB Dish.

Second, as usual, my first impressions of the houseguests based on the interviews over at Big Brother Network are below. It feels like half of the cast are fans and the other half were recruited. I’m feeling some type of way about all of these recruits. Anyway, it also feels like I am rooting for everyone and don’t see any red flags amongst them so we’ll see. All of my brief first impressions could be totally wrong. Only time will tell!

HOUSE GUESTS
Amber Borzotra
She’s not that familiar with the game but something tells me she’s a quick learner and will adapt well in the house. I’m not sure how far this will get her in the game though.

Brittany Martinez
Brittany also wasn’t familiar with Big Brother – up until a few weeks ago. Since the house guests always watch a season or so of the show before they are sent into the house, it sounds like based on what she’s seen, she definitely has gained a ton of knowledge and has her armor picked out for war. I’m either going to love her game or hate it. We’ll see.

Caleb Reynolds
Caleb has seen most of the seasons of Big Brother and seems to be very aware, like Brittany of the strengths and weaknesses of certain strategies. Aside from the knowledge he has about playing the game and the physical advantage, I’m not getting anything (good or bad) about his social game. Aside from that though, it would be interesting to see him and Brittany in an alliance. Only time will tell.

Christine Brecht
Here we go! A Big Brother fan! She’s seen every episode of every season and is ready to play this game! I love her energy and I am so excited for her! I can only hope that she doesn’t play the game too hard too fast. Aside from that, no conerns here.

Cody Calafiore
Cody is familiar with the game and is also very aware of what to do and what not to do. So we’ll see how things turn out. Will he align with Brittany and/or Caleb? Hmm. Also, he lives in Howell, NJ. I lived there for a short time. Hated it. But since he’s not from Howell, I think he should be fine. I say that because most people from Howell are not very cultured. And that’s all I’ll say about that.

Derrick Levasseur
Derrick is familiar with the game as well and is a police officer so he definitely has an edge and many useful skills he can apply to this game. I can’t wait to see him play this game!

Devin Shepherd
It’s honorable that this (adorable) guy wants to play an honest game but c’mon, you are a fan and know what you’re walking into. Can this game be won by anyone bing honest? Eh. Slim chance. Could he prove a ton of people wrong? Many have tried. We shall see but based on history, it doesn’t look good.

Donny Thompson
Donny says he’s going to wait to be approached about alliances and he won’t say no to any of the requests. His reasoning is very smart. He also says he can talk his way out of everything. Can’t wait to see him do that. He’s a fan of the show and seems to know what to do so we’ll see how playing things low key will work out for him. He always says that he thinks he’ll be very entertaining for the house and people at home and I have a feeling he will be. What do you think about Donny?

Frankie Grande
I am beyond excited to see Frankie Grande on Big Brother. If you’re not familiar with Frankie, he posts videos on YouTube (but is in other YouTubers’ videos more than he posts his own if you ask me haha) and he’s also Ariana Grande’s brother. Ariana’s cool but I follow Frankie on more social media sites than Ariana because he’s more entertaining and more my speed. So I’m very familiar with him and am excited to see him play this game. Good or bad. That said, I can see how it might be an unfair advantage when it comes to Team America if we have any say in his game/fate because he already has a huge audience of people rallying behind him. That said, the audience can help or hurt him if the producers through in a last minute twist. So who knows what will happen.

Hayden Voss
Another Hayden. I hope he gets evicted quickly so that I don’t have the other Big Brother Hayden in my head the whole time. Knowing my luck, this dude will win the whole thing. Haha. He sounds like he’s got what it takes to make it far so we’ll see. I think he’ll be just fine. Smart. Social. Fit. Check, check, and check.

Jocasta Odom
Jocasta is a fan of Big Brother and is amped up to play. She’s also a minister but my impression from the interview video is that she knows what it takes to play this game and will play her hardest, with God in mind and God guiding her steps without compromising too much either way. I hope this is the case! Go, Jocasta!

Joey Van Pelt
She seems really cool. She was recruited (it seems like half of the house guests were recruited as opposed to the usual 2-3. I don’t like this.) and now that she has become more familiar with the game, respects the game and fan base so I can’t wait to see her play this game! Rooting for her.

Nicole Franzel
Nicole is a super fan so I can’t wait to see her game! Something tells me she’ll make it far but won’t win. It’d be fun to see her make it to the jury house.

Paola Shea
I think her social game will help or hurt her. She seems like she’s ready to play the game and is smart enough to get pretty far but I’m not sure if she really knows what she’s gotten herself into, even having seen the show a bit before being recruited. We’ll see.

Victoria Rafaeli
She’s a fan of Big Brother and I love her energy and vibe so I’m super excited to see what her game is like.

Zach Rance
Zach is very confident in the knowledge he has of the game and of his strengths and I think all of this will work out well for him.

What do you think?
